Mutton Biryani

Mutton Biryani is a very popular dish in India state of Maharashtra,North states and South state. Mutton biryani is one of the very delicious dishes to find across the world. “Mutton Biryani” is the “KING” of all types of biryani. When Mughal is came into India ruling our country and stood the empire in our country but also came in culture, cushion and various dishes that one of the dishes is the biryani. When Mutton lovers heard the name of Mutton biryani, then the mouth started watering. One plate of Mutton biryani is  enough for the stomach there is no need for any dish. Mutton Biryani takes time to make but after making It’s taste is very yummy. It can be made with easily available ingredients at home. There are many types of making Mutton Biryani. But today I ‘ m sharing a Mutton Biryani in a simple way and how to make it at home in a pressure cooker. This Mutton Biryani is the combination of marination of Mutton and rice and Garam Masala has a good flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 kg Mutton
  • 1 kg Rice (Basmati)
  • 5 onion (onion sliced)
  • 3 Tomato (finely chopped)
  • 1 small bowl (roasted dry coconut)
  • 2 green chillies (sliced)
  • 1 onion (roughly chopped)
  • 8 to 9 Garlic
  • 3 inch Ginger (chopped)
  • 2 bayleaf
  • 1 tsp Caraway seeds/shahi jeera
  • 1 Anise seed/star full
  • 5 black paper
  • 5 cloves
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  •  6 to 7 spicy red chilli (dry) (roast and grind)
  • ½  tsp coriander powder
  • 1 ½  tsp garam masala powder
  • 3  tsp mutton biryani masala/ biryani masala
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 bowl coriander leaves (some finely chopped)
  • 1 small bowl mint leaves
  • 2 ½  glass of water
  • 5 tsp salt
  • 7 to 8 tsp of oil
  • 2 tsp of ghee

 Method

  • First take a bowl and wash the Mutton then add 1 tsp ginger garlic paste, ½  tsp turmeric powder, ½ tsp garam masala, and 1 tsp salt. And all to mix well and marinate for 1 hour to leave it.
  • Then Wash the Basmati rice and soak for half an hour.
  • Take a mixer jar, add to it roasted dry coconut, add 1 onion roughly chopped, ginger, garlic and some coriander and some mint add to it ¼ glass of water and grind to fine paste.
  • Then turn on the gas flame then put it in the pressure cooker on it then add to it 7 tsp of oil when oil is heated then add to it 2 bayleaf and 1 tsp caraway seeds, add to it 5 black paper, 5 cloves, 1 cinnamon sticks, 1 Anise seed and mix it.
  • Then add 5 sliced onions, stir it and sliced green chillies and stir it. stir for onion when its colour is changed golden brown.
  • First take a bowl and wash the Mutton then add 1 tsp ginger garlic paste, ½  tsp turmeric powder, ½ tsp garam masala, and 1 tsp salt. And all to mix well and marinate for 1 hour to leave it.

  • After that add to it grind it masala and mix well.
  • When tomatoes are soft then add to it ½  tsp turmeric powder, ½  tsp coriander powder, ½ tsp garam masala powder, 2 tsp Mutton biryani masala and 4 tsp salt and all to mix it.
  • Then add to it marination Mutton and ½ glass of water and mix it. (if Mutton biryani is not available in the kitchen then can also use biryani masala).
  • Close the lid of the cooker and cook the mutton in 3 whistles.
  • After that mutton is cooked then add to it soaked rice and all to mix well.
  • Add to it 1 tsp Mutton biryani masala.
  • After that add to it coriander leaves and mint leaves.
  • Add to it 2 tsp of ghee.
  • Then add 1 ¾  glass of water. And close the lid of the pressure cooker.
  • And 2 whistles for the pressure cooker on high flame.
  • After 2 whistles, turn off the flame. Open the lid of the pressure cooker after 10 minutes. Mutton biryani is cooked.
  • Serve Mutton Biryani With Raita and Salad.
