Restaurant style Matar Paneer

Matar Paneer is a very popular veg dish in India. There are many types of making Matar Paneer in restaurants But I can make a very simple and easy recipe to make Restaurant style Matar paneer. It’s taste is very delicious. It can be a very good dish at any occasion. This recipe can make a few ingredients available in the kitchen.This recipe is made with a combination of Tomato and Onion gravy and paneer and some spices to enhance the taste of flavour. It can be served with Roti, chapati, naan, bhakri, fulka and rice.

Ingredients

  • 250 gm Fresh Paneer
  • 1 Bowl matar (Frozen)
  • 3 Onion (sliced)
  • 2 Tomato (roughly chopped)
  • 10 garlic
  • 2 inch ginger
  • 7 to 8 cashew nuts
  • 2 bayleaf
  • ½ tsp cumin seeds
  • ½ tsp turmeric
  • 1 ½ tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp Garam masala powder
  • tsp coriander powder
  • 1 ½ tsp salt
  • ½ glass water
  • 2 tsp oil

Method

  • In first method lets make the masala for matar paneer. Here I am using 3 onions sliced  and 2 tomatoes roughly cutted and 2inch ginger roughly cut.
  • Here I am using the fresh paneer. Cutted into the medium pieces. There is no need to shallow fry fresh paneer but the paneer is 2 or 3 days old then paneer needs to shallow fry it.
  • Turn on the flame and put the pan on it. Then add chopped onion, tomato and ginger and fry it. When the onion is golden brown and the tomato is soft then turn off the flame. Let this mixture cool down completely. Then all the cool mixture to grind it and also add 7 to 8 cashew nuts. There is no need to add water to grind the mixture.
  • Then turn on the flame, heat a pan and add to 2 tsp of oil when oil is heated then add ½ tsp of cumin seeds and 2 bay leaves.
  • Then add to grind matar paneer masala and stir for 5 to 6 minutes.
  • After that add ½ tsp turmeric powder, ½ tsp coriander powder,1 ½ tsp red chilli powder and add 1 tsp of garam masala and stir it.
  • Here I’m using frozen matar. (if using raw matar there is so much time for cooking matar).
  • And then quick to add paneer pieces and add 1 ½ tsp of salt, ½ glass of water  then all to stir it.
  • Then close the lid of the pan and cook for 10 minutes.
  • Here restaurant style matar paneer is ready to serve.
  • Serve this Matar paneer with roti, naan and tandoori, onion and lemon also.
  • Yeah…it’s yummmmmmmmmmmmy 😋😋😋😋
